    1. Re: [PA-OBITS] MATAJZIK - Additional Data
    2. I'm still trying to locate information on Aaron William (perhaps William Aaron - family called him Will)McKeever. Last known address was Allentown in 1952. He was born in 1900 +/- 5 yrs so I'm pretty sure the obituaries would be the place to look. If anyone could check when you're looking for Matajzik I would truly appreciate it. Betty in California

    1. [PA-OBITS] OBIT - Washington PA Native - 1972
    2. Perhaps you can help me locate an obit/death notice. Marjorie (Wright) Smith / Matajzik was a native of Washington County PA. She married and then divorced Albert SMITH. She moved to San Bernadino California where she died in 1972. Being that she was from PA and family remained/remains in Washington County, perhaps her obituary or death notice was in the Washington Papers. I am hoping that given the fact that I have the date, place and a unique name this lookup is an *easy* one! TIA!! Hoping to locate an obituary or death notice. 3. Hi, Since Patrick died after 1906 you could send a check for $3.00 for a death certificate to the Bureau of Vital Statistics at New Castle, Pa. Holy Cross Cemetery may have more information if you write to them in Yeadon, Del. Co. Pa. How many are in the grave and who they are. The death certificate usually tells you the name of the parents and where the deceased was born, The death certificate also tells you who signed - most helpful if you are looking for family members Loretta

    1. [PA-OBITS] IGI
    2. Pat Galovich
    3. As most people are aware, the IGI online is presently not accessible. The site is upgrading the Ordinance particulars which is of interest to church members only. (second hand information only, received from a member of a mailing list). When I checked the site this morning I found the following message re improvements to the IGI search facility also, however, I was not able to access it yet. Should be great when available. "Updated International Genealogical Index A new version of the International Genealogical Index is now available on the FamilySearch Internet Genealogy Service (FamilySearch Internet). This new version contains the following enhancements: More Names. More names have been added to the index. These names were received since the last release in January 2000. Regular updates. The index will be updated as new information is received. Note: There are no current plans to update the International Genealogical Index on compact disc. Individuals linked into families. Some individuals are linked into families and can be displayed on family groups and pedigree charts. The number of linked individuals is relatively small but is expected to grow significantly in the future. You can also download family group records and pedigree charts. Additional event information. All events that were in original user submissions are now displayed and can be used as search criteria. Improved searching. You can now search the index by given name, surname and state, and more types of events, even across regions. The processes used to find individuals in spite of spelling and other differences in the name have also been improved. Information to describe the source. When you display an individual’s records, you will see messages that describe the source of the information."
