GMurphy-Stillings....while you have that second cup...would you mind checking for a Jules Renard in either Blair or Huntingdon counties in the 1880 census? I know he was in Robertsdale in 1910. I also know he came back from Belgium in 1902. But the rest is a mystery. Hi Nancy: Was your Elizabeth Hunter Elizabeth Treefelner, born in Pittsburgh 1888? If so she was my grandaunt, sister of my grandmother Minnie (Treefelner) McBurney. Norm in Medina, Ohio
Greetings, My name is Bob Reifsneider and I just joined several lists in the Lock Haven area. I am posting to all of these lists hoping for success, and sincerely apologize for the cross posting. I am the son of Catherine BOEHM, who was born in 1914, in Shenandoah, PA, and Clarence REIFSNEIDER. My mother was the daughter of Margaret HAUGHNEY, born 1885, in Mahanoy City, PA, and John BOEHM, born 1879, in Gilberton, PA. Margaret HAUGHNEY had twin sisters, Clara and Mary, born 1879, also in Mahanoy City. Clara was married twice, to brothers. First to Perry Stephen CROAK, then to William G., both born in Clinton County. I have had much success tracing them and their 10 children except one daughter, Anna May, who married Frank GARDNER. However, I have come up with a big goose egg finding Mary, Clara's twin, so I'm expanding my search area. Mary HAUGHNEY married Edward BREWER. My mother tells me that they had no children and that they also lived in the Lock Haven area. Edward may have been the son of Pete BREWER and ??? ??????, and have had the following siblings: William; Scott; Mary; Clara; and Jennie. I also have a note that says that Mary died in MAY 1945, but don't recall where that note came from. Many thanks for everyone's help, Bob Reifsneider Orange Park, FL

Jean, I am going through my deleted messages and came across yours. I got to go to PA in May. I found a lot of information, however, I was unable to find my great-uncle, Jules Renard, except on a map of Blair county. His name is on a plot of a mountain site. I was unable to find anything else. He had been in PA for a time, went back to Belgium to get his family; my grandparents, father, aunt came back to U.S. with him. They settled in Robertsdale, Huntingdon County. My grand parents are buried in the IOOF cemetery in Broad Top City. Jules' daughter is buried a few rows from them. But no other knowledge was available, though I spend a week in the area. Hi, Just recently, I was going through my grandmother's photo album and found a card that had my great-grandfather's death date and I am now searching for his obit. I am going to send for the death certificate but would like to have his obit if possible for further documentation. Andrew Grohol was born in 1879 in Austria (Austrian-Hungerian Empire). He came to the states in 1902 and settle in Humboltd, which is a part of Hazle Township (Hazelton, Pa) (this is according to the 1920 census for Humboltd). He married a Mary Wantuch (the spelling may vary here) and they both became naturalized citizens in 1915. But must have married before they were naturalized citizens. Because my grand-uncle was born in 1910. They had five children at the time of his death in 1941. The date of his death is May 3, 1941 according to the card that I found. Hope anyone with information can help me in my quest. Thank you for any assistance in advance.
