Kathy, you should have included this in your first post... "Thank you, it is possible that she had a brother named Peter abt the same > age. > Thats really all I have, she married Stephen Knecht and they are in Monroe > co in 1910. > Kathy" > I find this Peter: Name: Peter Fish Home in 1900: Middle Smithfield, Monroe, Pennsylvania Age: 10 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1890 Birthplace: Pennsylvania Relationship to head-of-house: Grandson Race: White Occupation: View Image Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Moses C Strunk 58 Maggie C Strunk 49 Lizzie P Strunk 18 Moses F Strunk 16 Violet M Strunk 14 Lewis B Strunk 12 Alonzo B Strunk 10 Ruth Strunk 8 Naomi Strunk 6 Mary E Howel 20 granddau Frieda Howel 1 granddau Peter Fish 10 grandson now this Moses, in 1880, is 38, in Middle Smithfield, Monroe Co. He has 2 daughters, Laura, 7, who would be 27 in 1900 , and Mary, 9/12, who would be 19/20 in 1900. Now Peter is 10 in 1900, so it is not likely that Mary was his mother; it is more likely it was Laura. now, in 1900, Middle Smithfield, I find a Laura Fish, 26, married to Philip Fish, 30, in Monroe Co. They have a dau., Hanna E., b. 1892, and a son, Moses, b. 1898, age 2. I find this interesting in that this Laura, married to a Fish, named a son Moses, assuming her father was Moses. It is possible that the child, Peter, living with his grandfather Moses (above) could also be the son of Laura...and, for some reason, living with his grandfather rather than his parents. (note, if Peter is Laura's child, then he was born when she was about 16 and Hanna when she was 18; they may be children of a first marriage; consider the possibility that perhaps Peter did not like her new husband, and so went to live with his grandfather). This same Fish family is in Monroe Co. in 1910, with a few more children: Moses, 12 Mary, 9 James 6 Sherman 2 plus Philip's brothers: Benjamin 44 Norris 35 Mulholland? 47 in 1920, Peter Fish is a hired hand on a farm, a few homes away from a Strunk family in Smithfield, Monroe... in the family trees,I found this: Eric & Millie's Families Entries: 1510 Updated: 2004-10-20 00:11:01 UTC (Wed) Contact: Eric or Millie ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Index | Individual | Register | Download GEDCOM ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- 1 Eva Fish + Stephen Knecht 2 Lewis Knecht 3 Living Knecht + Living Smith 4 Living Edwards 4 Living Knecht 4 Living Knecht 4 Living Knecht 2 Frank Knecht 2 Gertrude Knecht b: 20 JUN 1912 d: 27 JAN 1972 + Harold Groff b: 1 FEB 1920 d: 18 JUN 1981 3 Living Groff Ah, well, some clues to consider.
