Thank you all who sent replies. Here is the thing if anyone has time to play. If you go back to the 1860 index and only put in TROUT for 1860 Dauphin County you will see I think it is 6 under the age of 18 by the name of Trout all in different places. Jacob Trout age 17 being one of them. There is a Susanna Trout age 11 living with the same farm family in 1860. So she was 1 year old or so in 1850. Somewhere in 1850 all these children must be as I thought maybe the parents died and they all had to be separated to live in different places. But since Susanna and Jacob are living with the same farm family 10 years apart they most likely are siblings. Maybe there mother was a " " (sorry but can't remember the name) Anyone out there following my logic on this one??
