I checked the 1860 image and, yes, he is b. 1824 (being 36 in 1860). In 1850, he is in the same twp/county; a laborer on the Thomas Watters Farm, age 25; interestingly enough, there is with him a Peter Crisman, age 1. The hard thing here is that the last name could be indexed Crisman/Cristman/Chrisman/Christman. There are Crisman's that go way back in Chester County. My line intermarries with them. Search the Chester Co. Gen. site: http://www.pa-roots.com/~chester/ - it's a pretty sloppy site, but has a good bit of info also Rootsweb, also USGenWeb archives for PA -----Original Message----- From: gayle lee stevens [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, October 31, 2006 3:23 PM To: census Subject: [PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP] CRISMAN LOOKING FOR ANYINFO ON GEORGE CRISMAN B. 1834 WAS LIVING IN CONEMAUGH TWP.
