    3. For spelling Bouton, the only thing that comes up is 1910. How was it pronounced? Was the "ou" pronounced as it "bout" or as it "boot"? Obviously we need to look for alternate spellings. -----Original Message----- From: E [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, October 13, 2006 9:41 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP] 1820/fayette/Bouton The story in our family was that everything took place in Washington County,,, Finleyville.. I have just found a bit of information that my gggf Smith? Bell, who married Elizabeth Bouton , daughter was born in Fayette County. Are there any Bouton in Fayette County in the 1810 - 1820 census? Thank you for helping. 3. Sorry I did not answer this last night. Slight med problem.... By the way my message to PA-Census showed up immediately. I have shown the spelling as I have found it on the web and by others. My mother always referred to a Button being in the family. Another item from somewhere and also another researcher, Elizabeth said she was born in Indiana County, PA and this appeared on a census, Problem.... no one out there can give me a reference as to what year. I was unable to find any Boutons in Indiana County for the period in which Elizabeth would have been born. I appreciate your help.
