The problem with the 1920 census INDEX is that it only lists head of household. It is possible that they were living with another family and so Nicolas does not appear in the index. To find him in 1920, in that case, we'd need to know with whom he was living.....Now, since Emma is listed as his sister, and she is 15 in 1930, therefore 5 in 1920, we'd have to look at every Kobi* family listed in the index to find her, and therefore maybe Nicolas.. Assuming Nicolas is the oldest, and by his age in 1930 (39) we can assume he was born about 1891; therefore we are looking for parents who were born at least 1860-1870. I looked at a few that were born in that range (in the 1920, living in PA) but did not see a young Emma or Mildred, so we are back to square one! -----Original Message----- From: Jennifer Lugus [mailto:jhl1188@optonline.net] Sent: Wednesday, August 10, 2005 10:40 PM To: PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PACEN] Re: Surname KOBICK, 1920 - Northampton, Co.
