May I offer a search tip for the Ellis Island site? ESPECIALLY if you are looking for an unusual name! If you know the town/village where the person came from, and it's a small town, try searching for that town without a name. Often, you will find variant spellings and other relatives who came a year or two before or after your relative! Hope this helps someone :) ----- Original Message ----- From: <pennsylguy@aol.com> To: <PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 21, 2005 6:02 PM Subject: [PACEN] Eduard SZAMBELAN Immigration > Hi Patrick: > > Ludwig SZAMBELAN's 1906 immigration record mentioned that he was coming to > live with his brother Edward in Detroit.
