OK, further on that 1900 census: the index entry I found was for Mary: Name: Mary Dempsey Home in 1900: Gloucester Ward 1, Camden, New Jersey Age: 9 Estimated birth year: 1891 Birthplace: New York Race: White Relationship to head-of-house: Daughter Occupation: View Image Image source: Year: 1900; Census Place: Gloucester Ward 1, Camden, New Jersey; Roll: T623 959; Page: 19A; Enumeration District: 97. specifics: John Dempsey b. 7/1846, in PA Elizabeth, b. 5/1870, in Ireland Mary, b. 4/1891, NY Margaret, b. 6/1896, in NJ living on Burlington St. In 1910, the only thing I find is a Margaret, of the right age (14), a servant, but she is listed as b. PA; cannot find Mary (probably married, she'd be 19), cannot find parents, cannot find an Anthony/Tony born in that time frame; in 1920 I found a Margaret Carswell married to a John D. Carswell in NJ, with some children but no Anthony In 1920 I find a 23 yr old Anthony in the Navy, but he lists father b. Ireland, mother Eng, place of residence Baltimore....
