Hello! I'm not much of an historian, but I think you will find that Route 30, the Lincoln Highway, was actually the first turnpike in Pennsylvania, and ran all the way from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia - went through Lancaster on the way of course. There are still some original stone markers for Route 30 back in the mountain roads in Clearfield County, where my father's parents lived. In a message dated 3/2/2008 1:20:30 P.M. However there is a King Road between West Chester and Exton, if you are traveling North on Route 100 from West Chester, King Road is to the right near Boot Road, several miles north of Taylor Run. West Goshen is a township which butts up against West Chester.
