    1. Johannes HOHL - Berks Co., - 1790 or 1800
    2. I have not posted this in a while, and have not discovered anything new. Are there any Johannes HOHL (var HOLE) or perhaps Hannes/Hans in 1790 or 1800 census? Perhaps Lancaster or Chester County? He married Magdalena Wendel in 1785 and settled in Robeson Township where he raised his four children: Bernard, Samuel, Christopfel and Elizabeth. If I could find the children's baptisms, perhaps that would be a clue as to where they lived. Many thanks. Dori

    3. THANKS for validating the importance of properly filling out the subject line! I harp on it all the time but someone's actual experience has so much more impact! Appreciate the kind help with the Archive url during my Senior Moment <smile>. Many thanks to both of you!. While browsing the postings I noted how important the subject line info is. Stick to county--census date--surname and you will get answers AND it will be easy for searchers to find your surname.
