Karen I did receive a reply regarding Franklin & Agnes CLIFTON and found them living in St. Augustine, Fl. in the 1930 census I am pretty sure it is the CLIFTON family I am looking for although I was quite surprised to find that they lived in St. Augustine, FL. as I know they were living in Phila. in the 1940's. He was always called "Frank" when I was a child. Thank you for your help. Marguerite Thank you again for your research. Marguerite

Thanks Gail... I have been trying to find a map for early Philadelphia with streets on it without luck. I know one esits because I've seen it before. Do you or does anyone on the list have any idea where I can find this map? Thanks about remembering "the ther stuff" ~ but I always believe it is much more important to slowly ramp back up after vacation. and to hang onto every last moment of it :) Take your time! It's kept for 75 years, it can keep for a while longer! I found her on the 1820 city directory as the widow of my ancestor Jacob BAKER. It did not list her given name. She was livina at N. 8th St. at the time. I belive that might be in the Spring Garden section, but I'm unsure. Her given name might be Mary. I would guess that she would be in her 40s or 50s. Thanks for anything you can provide! They had at least 5 boys, Francis, John, Bernard, Thomas and Hugh by 1930. I would appreciate their address, ward, ages and occupations of all living in this household. Also the year of immigration of Susan and if she was naturalized. Thank you for any information you can provide. Marguerite

Hi Gail, I would guess these are your Barnes, the dates are pretty close given the blurry images, and it's possible that Thomas died between 1910 and 20, and Mary remarried..Just having a hard time find the right Harry in the 1920..
