    1. Not a Request - -
    2. Vincent E. Summers
    3. This is not a request, but just something that I received that will show you all why I am pulling out my few remaining hairs over this one! Please recall that I have submitted some requests, lately, trying to find WORTHINGTON and KOOKER. You guys have jumped to the task, and I have learned much, and it is largely because of you. Sam & Louise KOOKER, a couple born in the early 1800's, I learned from the 1900 census I got from you guys, had 8 kids, 4 of whom were alive in 1900. I have now accounted for 6. Since my real goal was to learn the parentage of Caroline KOOKER, listed in one census as their grandaughter, I needed to account for all 8. I then found out Jesse WORTHINGTON married their daughter! That means only 1 is unaccounted for - if it was a male, it likely would have been Caroline's father!! But I wanted to nail down Jesse WORTHINGTON's Miss KOOKER. His wife. What was her name. In 1880, he was not yet married. In 1900, he was a widower! You know about 1890... Well I found one Larry Hillpot had Jesse's obituary! Surely it would mention his wife! Here it is. Read it, and you will see why I am weeping! Jesse Worthington, aged 76 years, died Monday afternoon at his home in Buckingham township. He had been in ill health for a year, but seriously ill for only a week. Mr. Worthington was a son of the late Joseph and Charlotte (Bodine) Worthington, of Rushland. For some years he was in business as a cattle dealer. The deceased married Miss Kooker of Pineville. Surviving him is one brother, Howard of Langhorne, and one granddaughter. Now doesn't that figure?! No first name. AARGHHH! Vince

    3. In the 1860 there are about 80 Thomas Hughes.....only one in Union who is age 8 (as I said before). There is no way to know who might be the right one without more info. If the cemetery in question is attached to a church, you might be able to find out from the church records . Or check the Union County gen./historical society to see if there are records on the cemetery. -----Original Message----- From: Sue Renkert [mailto:suerenkert@gci.net] Sent: Sunday, July 31, 2005 7:00 PM To: PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com Subject: {not a subscriber} Fw: {not a subscriber} 1860/Union/Hughes All I know about these folks is that they had a daughter, Sallie A., who died October 20, 1862, at the age of 1 year, 11 months and 17 days, and who was buried near Millmont, which I believe is in Hartley Township, Union County.
