I need a favor from some kind soul with access to an every-name index, or a lot of time on their hands. <G> This is actually a repost of an older request, but I have new information that I didn't have then. I am looking for the following: Lottie HOOVER or CHAPMAN b: 1886 PA Leah CHAPMAN b: 1908 and sister Sara. Here is the info I didn't have before; Lottie may or may not have married Samuel CHAPMAN, but it appears they were apart by 1910. Sister Sara, I believe, was older than Leah. She was about 17 when she disappeared from her front porch. Given the following facts, I estimate her birthdate to be c. 1903: 1) Mother Lottie gave birth to Leah in 1908. 2) Lottie married Chester ORSIN est. 1915. 3) Sara was a CHAPMAN, not an ORSIN. 4) Sara disappeared at about age 17, before the 1920 census. She is not listed with her mother and family. If anyone can help, or give me some other ideas to try, I'd appreciate it. It's just one of those nagging mysteries in my family that won't go away! Thanks in advance, Roxanne Baird __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com

Thank you Gail, both you and Karen were very sweet and kind to look for me. I'm relatively "sure" that John Benjamin was b in 1822 and records show that he is buried in Canaan Corners Wayne Co His Nephew noted that John married Harriet Cox and had ch Eliza, Frank, Lavisa, Rush, Mary (no dates). I can't find and prove them either. My Benjamin families seem to migrate between Wayne, Lackawanna and Luzerne but likely started from CT & NY. (Smile) well if John wants put back in his tree where he belongs he better cooperate 1850 census is my last hope. The 1840 census was based on the date of June1, so no matter what time of the year the census was taken, your John would have been listed as 27 not 28. However, I found no John, either 27 or 28, close to that area in 1850. I found one in NY state, but he was a boarder with no family, and b. NY. -----Original Message----- From: Beverlee [mailto:trace97@surewest.net] Sent: Wednesday, September 21, 2005 12:56 PM To: PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PACEN] PA-Census-lookup/1850/unknown/John Benjamin Would appreciate lookup 1850 John S. I could not find any Bowman in 1850/Clinton. I looked at 1860, Elias was living with Samuel Farrow's family in Beech Creek, Clinton, so his parents are gone. In 1850, I find a Samuel and Sarah in Luzerne Co, but no son. I find several Elias close in age across the eastern US but none with parents Samuel and Sarah. -----Original Message----- From: jeanie stout [mailto:msjbostian@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2005 10:52 AM To: PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PACEN] 1850 Clinton BOWMAN Please can some one find Elias BOWMAN in Clinton CO he would be 6 or 7 years old.
