Also try the spelling of KEARNEY for the surname. If Mary Ann's relatives couldn't write, the census taker would have just written how it sounded. Also, Mary Ann, try looking on the Ellis Island site. Maybe you'll luck out and find them if they entered through NY. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mary Ann" <chip44@verizon.net> To: <PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 27, 2005 12:41 PM Subject: [PACEN] 1930/philadelphia or Montgomery/CARNEY > Margaret Mary CARNEY b. 1910 Ireland > > Parents: Thomas and Mary b. born Ireland although they might not have come > over with her. > Her siblings are: > Ann > Helen (Nellie) > John > Catherine b. 1906 > Michael b 1907 > Beatrice b. 1912 > Thomas b. 1915 > Patrick b. 1924 > All were born in Ireland so they would not have been here in 1920. > > Thank you for your help. > > Mary Ann > Villanova, Pa. > > > > > ==== PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP Mailing List ==== > #6) Our "volunteers" are simply listmembers who take the time to do > lookups to help other listmembers. Hello Recently I asked for information on Mary McCANN in the 1900 census and received some possibilities. At the time the only information I had on Mary McCANN was that she was born about 1887 and that she was possibly an orphan. Today I received her obituary stating that she died Dec. 29, 1980 in Phila. and that her parents were William and Margaret (Connelly) McCANN. I would appreciate a lookup for her in the 1900 and 1910 census. Thank you for any information regarding Mary McCANN. Marguerite
Please look for Martin STUTZMAN, age 28 years and born in PA. His mother was also born in PA. Thanx. Kerm

Could SKS check the 1840 Federal Census for an Elizabeth Hanlin. I believe she lived in Philly or South Jersey. I don't know if she was married in 1840. If She was her married name was Jones. I am projecting 1840 as a hunch. Her daughter Rachael R. Jones was born in 1842 so 1840 is close but it's a start. If it doesn't work I then be asking for with 1830 census info. Thank you, Joe Moore Joe Moore

Could someone help me with a lookup. It would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for a Henry Sellers in Bedford County. Not sure what twp I need to know his Childrens names. The time frame is from 1820 to 1900 I am trying to find my great great grandfather all I know is his name is William and William's son's name is James. James was born in 1843 in Pa and died in Fayette Co. in 1913. I have no information on William. I believe the tax list said Henry owned 300 acres at Penn. in Bedford County. Is there a Penn Twp in Bedford Co? I would appreciate any help I can get. This has been a stumbling block for 8 years. I would like to find William and his parents.

So far, have > only found a Harry Heasley, 12, however in Philadelphia. ~JL --------------- There were four offspring of Charles Calvin & Anna Christina HEASLEY: Irwin S. (b. 1892, Warren, Trumbull Co, Ohio) Frances Elenore (b. 1894, Warren, Trumbull Co, Ohio) Irene Agnes ??? Henry ???? Mother Anna died 1897 in Warren, Ohio. Charles' family in centered around Mercer Co, Pa. The 1910 census locates Frances, 16, and Irwin, 19, in Pittsburgh, at home of cousin Christina Irwin and family. I'm almost positive Frances went to the Irwins at age four or so. I have just now learned that Irwin and Agnes Irene were sent to relatives around Cleveland, Ohio, and that Henry may have died in early childhood. I was in error to seek them when and where I did, but that is how we learn, yes? I shall try my luck on the Ohio Census List. I thank you for your efforts, ~ Juraj
