    1. [PA-CENSUS-LOOKUP] 1850/? /Donlon
    2. E
    3. Please I can only hope Patrick Donlon is in PA for the 1850 or 1860 census. Pat Donlin (Sp} arrived here with his wife Catherine and son Mike prior to 1850 All were born in Ireland. Pat 1801, Catherine 1803 and Mike 1842 In New York State, they had 3 more children Kate 1846, Pat 1848, and John 1851. But ........ this family does not appear in the 1850 or 1860 Federal census nor in the NY 1855 census. Why are the children born in NY State? Patrick had a brother John living in Hartsville Steuben County. It may be that Patrick's wife can to stay with her sister-in-law during pregnancy. The complete family appears in the New York State census for 1865 as living near Patrick's brother John. But where did they go between pregnancies? They are not listed in the New York for any of Census taken 1850 , 1955 0r 1860. Hopefully Pennsylvania as they were within 30 miles of the state line. Please check with a look up. Thank you.. Grant

STELLA E., born about 1885 in Allegheny County (Hays Boro/Pittsburgh) married presumeably about 1905, a man from "Birdsville, Pa", which I cannot find on a map so it may be a local geographical reference, surnamed METZAR. 2. Do you have the name of the daughter and age that should be living with them? I've had no luck. Is your Jesse middle name - Watman? I found WWI draft registration for a Jesse Watman BAIRD , b. 1 MAY 1890 living in Montgomery Co, Norristown, married - wife's name not noted. Then for WWII draft registration found this same Jesse Watman BAIRD, b. 1 MAY 1894, b. Montgomery Co, Norristown, but living in Philadelphia, with a wife Emma or Erma and working in New Jersey. 3. Under the old software, our list was set up such that if you wanted to reply only to the poster, you hit your 'reply' button; if you wanted the message to go to the list, you hit 'reply to all.' The new software's settings are a bit different, and I have yet to get a definitive answer from the listowner's mail list. So, for now, whether you hit 'reply' or 'reply to all' make sure you take a second to look at your "To" line and make sure the message is going to its intended destination. Thanks, Gail
