DEHOU, POSKIN, BOHEY, PATTERSON, GRIFFITH Oct. 31, 1928 McDonald PA Outlook Mrs. Catherine DEHOU (nee RIGAUX) aged 25 years, died Sunday at 2:10 p.m. after an illness of influenza. She leaves her husband, Alfred DEHOU, and three children: Victorine, five and one-half years old; Isabelle, four years old; Alfred, eighteen months old; her mother, Mrs. Elsie RIGAUX of Valley street; a sister and four brothers. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. August DEVOS Wednesday at three o'clock. Desire POSKIN, aged 72, died of pneumonia Tuesday at noon in the home of his eldest son, Valentine, in North McDonald street. Mr. POSKIN came to McDonald forty-two years ago from Gilly, Belgium. He is survived by two sons, Valentine of North McDonald street and Aime of Valley street. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at three o'clock, at the home of his son on North McDonald street, with Rev. August DEVOS in charge. Mrs. Antoinette BOHEY, aged 72, died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, she was well-known and had many friends. She came to America forty-seven years ago from Marchienne-aux-Ponts, Belgium, settling in McDonald, then removing to Midway and later to Cecil. Mrs. BOHEY was a member of the French U. P. church of McDonald. She is survived by her husband, Bernardin BOHEY and three children: Mrs. Mary DEBLANDER of Ceil, Auguste BOHEY of Wheeling, and Simion BOHEY of Detroit. Funeral services were held Tuesday at two o'clock, with Rev. Auguste DEVOS in charge. Miss Etta PATTERSON, aged 63 years, a well known resident of Eighty-Four, R. D. 1, died Sunday morning, October 14, 1928, in the home of her brother, Clark PATTERSON. She was a daughter of James and Jennie LINN PATTERSON. She had many friends both in this section and in Washington. She had made her home with her brother Clark, for the last 18 years. For the last seven years she had been an invalid. She was a member of the Mt. Prospect United Presbyterian church. Miss PATTERSON leaves two brothers, Clark, of Eighty-Four, and Theodore, of Washington and the following nieces and nephews; Eleanor PATTERSON, a teacher in the McDonald High school; Alvin and James PATTERSON, Mrs. W. M. BALENTINE and Keith PATTERSON. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the late home, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. H. Glenn STEPHENS. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Mary L. GRIFFITH, aged 82 years, widow of John M. GRIFFITH, died in her home in Hickory, Sunday afternoon, October 14, 1928, at 4:15 o'clock. Her death was due to infirmities of age. Mrs. GRIFFITH, a daughter of Ebenezer and Margaret LYLE SMITH, was born July 30, 1846, at Cherry Valley. October 22, 1863, she was married to John M. SMITH who died in 1924. She leaves a son, Edwin S. GRIFFITH, of Hickory, and a sister, Mrs. Samuel A. FARRAR, of Hickory. A daughter, Margaret V. CALDWELL, died about a year ago. There also survive two grandchildren, Mary I. CALDWELL and J. W. CALDWELL, of Hickory. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. GRIFFITH had made her home with the CALDWELL family in Hickory. Mrs. GRIFFITH spent the greater part of her life in and around Hickory, prior to moving to Hickory, having lived on a farm near Hickory. She was a life-long member of the Hickory United Presbyterian church. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Hickory U. P. church at 1:30 p.m. Interment was in the Hickory cemetery.
