    3. PEACOCK, OPENBRIER, PARKISON, SMITH, SPRANKEL, SELL, FIFE Aug. 16, 1928 McDonald PA Outlook Col. R. A. PEACOCK, aged 68 years, died suddenly Wednesday morning at 10:20 o'clock in his home on West Lincoln avenue. Mr. PEACOCK had been in his usual good health until several days ago, when he complained of feeling ill, but his illness was not thought to be serious. About eight o'clock yesterday morning, Mrs. PEACOCK called him and he replied that he would not get up for a while. About ten twenty, she went to his room and found him dead. Death was due to heart disease. Col. PEACOCK was a well-know auctioneer in this section of the state and was born at Hickory October 12, 1859, a son of William and Rachel (MORRISON) PEACOCK, natives of Ireland. After residing in Mount Pleasant and Chartiers Townships for a number of years, he came to McDonald where he has since resided. Mr. PEACOCK was a member of the First United Presbyterian church of this place. Col. PEACOCK is survived by his wife, who was formerly Ellen Jane MILLER and seven children as follows: Mrs. John KRAEER, Candor; Mrs. Wesley GALLAGHER, McDonald; Mrs. Henry HANNA, Brentwood; Clifford PEACOCK, Oakdale; Arthur PEACOCK, Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Robert RUSSELL, Fredericktown. Thirteen grandchildren are living. One sister, Mrs. George CHALLENER of McConnells Mills, and four brothers, James PEACOCK, Zollarsville; William PEACOCK, Bridgeville; David PEACOCK, Hickory; and Dr. L. K. PEACOCK, Moninger, survive. Funeral services will be held in the First United Presbyterian church on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, in charge of the Rev. Albert LOVE. Emile OPENBRIER, aged 61, shot himself in a bed room at his home in Primrose about 4:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mr. OPENBRIER was born in Belgium and came to this country 25 years ago. Besides his wife, Mr. OPENBRIER is survived by seven children: Mrs. Jules GOSSIAUX, Grindstone, Pa.; Mrs. David FERRIS, Midway; Mrs. William SMART, Bridgeville; Ferdinand, Emile, Jr., Joseph and William, at home. Funeral services will be held from his home Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will be in the Center cemetery, Midway. Clarence PARKISON died at the sanitarium in Woodville on August 10, 1928. He had been a patient there for two months. The following brothers and sisters survive: Ernest of Carnegie, Mrs. Samuel HAMPSON of Laurel Hill. Phyllis Bernadette SMITH, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. SMITH of 217 North street, died at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. HAYES, Monday afternoon at 3:20 o'clock, following a short illness of whooping cough and pneumonia. Services were held in St. Alphonsus' church with interment in the Noblestown cemetery. She is survived by her parents and a sister, Peggy Lou. Miss Evalyn Annabelle SPRANKLE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. SPRANKLE, died at her late home in Noblestown, Pa., on Saturday, August 11, 1928, at 12:10 o'clock noon. Miss SPRANKLE was born in Sturgeon, Pa., on February 10th, 1904 and had spent her entire life in the immediate vicinity. She attended school at McDonald, graduating with the honor group in the class of 1923. She then attended Indiana Normal and was a teacher in the Sturgeon school for a very successful term. Besides her parents she is survived by two brothers and a sister, Wayne R. of Primrose, Vera M. and Lynn D. SPRANKLE at home. Funeral services were held from her late home in Noblestown on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of the Rev. Harry ARCHER, pastor of the Noblestown M. E. church, interment was in Robinson's Run cemetery. Steven SELL of Tridelphia, W. Va., died Wednesday, August 8. He was a brother of Mrs. William MCCLUSKEY and formerly resided here. James FIFE, aged 70 years, a well-known farmer of Cecil township, who resided near Hendersonville, died yesterday morning after a week's illness. Mr. FIFE and his brother, Robert, were associated for many years, and conducted a threshing outfit in this section of the county. He was born in Washington county and spent his entire life in that community. He was the son of James and Nancy HOPPER FIFE, deceased, and besides his wife he is survived by five children as follows: Prof. W. Lawrence FIFE, principal of the Canonsburg High school; James FIFE, Pittsburgh, who is superintendent for the West Penn Power company; Martha, wife of William B. MCCLELLAND, Canonsburg, R. D. 2; Mrs. George BURNSIDE, Canonsburg, R. D. 3; and Laura FIFE, who holds a position in Pittsburgh. Five grandchildren also survive.
