Charles MEISE is one of those American citizens of German descent whose steadiness and intelligence has brought to him good fortune. From Germany he came to Castle Shannon; from there to Mansfield, where he owns a hotel; and from that place about four years ago he came to a farm in South Fayette township, one mile south of Noblestown, where during the past year he has made $14,000 to $15,000 out of oil. On the 20th of this month Mr. and Mrs. MEISE will celebrate their silver wedding. About two hundred persons will be present and a brass and a string band. There are four children all living at home--Daniel J., Misses Tillie, Marie, and Nettie.
