MURDOCK, HUSTON, ROHDE, THIELET, CARLY, RODGERS Mrs. Mary MURDOCK, 73, died suddenly at 3:15 p.m. March 5, 1942, in her home in Valley street, McDonald. She is survived by one son, Edward MURDOCK of Wheeling, W. Va., there sisters, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, Thomas MURDOCK died August 6, 1939. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in St. Alphonsus' church, McDonald, in charge of the Rev. Fr. Joseph A. BURGOON. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery, Noblestown. Rachel Iona HUSTON, widow of John T. HUSTON, died Saturday, March 7, 1942, at 11:35 p.m. in her home in Monongahela, where she had resided the past 35 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Monongahela. Surviving are two sons: William of Oakdale and John T. of Monongahela; a granddaughter, Grace Adelle, of Monongahela, and a sister Mrs. Julia :APE of Bentleyville. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in the Mingo cemetery. Conrad ROHDE, 73, died at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 1942, in his home, 1520 Lenz avenue, Ambridge, following a week's illness. He was born January 30, 1869, in Midway and resided there until 18 years ago when the family moved to Ambridge. He is survived by his wife, Leona DEWITT ROHDE; four sons; George and Joseph of Ambridge, Frank of Baden, and Charles of Chicago; one brother, Jacob ROHDE of Midway. There are seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the ROHDE home. Burial will be in Center cemetery, Midway. Mrs. Pauline HENRY THIELET, 54, died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 1942, in her home in Cecil, following a tree-month illness. She was born in Belgium and upon arrival in the United States locating in Noblestown. She and Joseph THIELET were married in 1906 in Cecil. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons: George THIELET of Hills, Felix THIELET of Cecil, and Raymond THIELET of Cecil, one daughter, Mrs. William ROBERTS of Pittsburgh; three brothers, Felix HENRY of Canonsburg, Ferdinand HENRY of Cecil, and George HENRY of Noblestown. There are six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the THIELET home, conducted by the Rev. Alexandre MAGE, D. D., pastor of the Irons Memorial French U. P. church, McDonald. Burial was in the Venice cemetery. Mrs. Mary SOUFFRANT CARLY, 62, widow of Fortney CARLY, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 1942, in her home on the Noblestown road at Sturgeon, after an illness of only a few hours. A daughter of Mrs. Mary WAUTHIER SOUFFRANT of Sturgeon and the late Alexander SOUFFRANT, she was born September 23, 1879, in Belgium. Coming to the United States at an early age, Mrs. CARLY had been a resident of Sturgeon the past 45 years. Besides her mother, she is survived by one son, August CARLY at home; three brothers; August SOUFFRANT, Jules SOUFFRANT, and Firmin SOUFFRANT, all of Sturgeon; two sisters, Mrs. John (Augusta) PUSKAR of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. William (Phoebe) RENNEKAMP of McKees Rocks. There are two grandchildren. Mr. CARLY died in 1929. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the CARLY home, conducted by the Rev. Father ERKINS, pastor of St. Patrick's church, Noblestown. Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery. Mrs. Nancy Ann RODGERS, 80, wife of Robert RODGERS of Bishop, died at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 1942, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. William CUBBAGE, Bishop, following a two-week illness. She was born May 26, 1861, in Fairmont, W. Va., a daughter of the late Eugene and Juliann SCHACELFORD POWELL, and had resided in the Cecil district the last 28 years. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters: Mrs. Stella CUBBAGE of Bishop, and Mrs. Florence HANCOCK of R. D. 2, Canonsburg, and one son, Lawrence RODGERS of Bridgeville. There are twelve grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Three children are dead. Mrs. RODGERS is a patient in then Canonsburg hospital, having had both legs broken when struck by an automobile. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in ROGER's Funeral Home, McDonald, conducted by the Rev. Donald SPEAR, pastor of the Cecil Reformed Presbyterian church, and the Rev. Bert WILSON, pastor of the Reformed Presbyterian church, Beaver Falls. Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery.
