Hello, John Ozment Thank you for your interest in our OZMENT family research. I was hoping I would "stir up" some discussions with my recent inquiries and comments to the OZMENT list. I may have also stirred up a hornet's nest!!! Your cousin Winifred C.(Ozment) Johnson and I have been comparing notes and sharing data on her/your branch of the Ozments. We seem to be at the proverbial "wall" when we get to your Uncle Fate (John Lafayette Ozment) and the ancestors of that line. We all would like to resolve that and other discrepancies. Also, there appears to be more than one Ozment/Osman/Osment male that "crossed over to the U.S." and started families here. I'm sure each branch of those early pioneers has a different viewpoint about their origin. I realize there are some discrepancies in the information I have shared. But that is what this OZMENT web page was created for..... sharing, discussing, and hopefully resolving these matters. If you would please send me your postal mailing address (by direct, personal e-mail), I will be glad to share my Ozment family genealogical report (with sources). At this point it is in the "continuing research, revision" mode and not ready for "prime time" publication. In other words, I'm not certain of all details myself !!! {:-)) Yes, please do share all that you have from your records.
