I Alfred OZMENT, being in good health and of sound and disposing mind and memory, calling to mind the frailty and uncertainty of human life, and being of a ------ of settling my worldly affairs, and directing how the estates with which it has pleased God to bless me, shall be disposed of after my decease, which I have strength and capacity so to do, do make and publish this, my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making nil and void all other last wills and testaments by me heretofore made. And first, I commend my immortal being to Him who gave it, and my body to the earth to be buried with little expense or ostentation by my Executor herein after named. And as to my worldly estate,and all the property, real and personal, or mixed, of which I shall be seized and possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, I divide, bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following, towit: First, my will is that all my just debts and funeral charges shall by my Executor herein after named, be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by them be found convenient. Item 1st -- I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Nancy Ozment, my plantation, farming utensils, all my property., both personal and real, to hold and dispose of as she sees proper as long as lives, and after her decease, I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter, Josephine Ozment a tract or parcel of land ------ and described as follows, towit: The north west quarter of the north east quarter of Section thirty two (32) in Township fourteen (14) South of Range Eight (8) west containing forty (40) acres, the remainder of my property I want to be divided in six equal shares. I want the heirs of William 0. Ozment to have one share, to be equally divided among them by my executor herein after named. I want the heirs of Robert S. Ozment to have one share to be divided among them in the same manner, share and share alike. I want the heirs of Elizabeth Ann Ozment among them in like manner, share and share alike. I want the heirs of my daughter, Susan Jane Jordan to have one share to be divided among them in like manner, share and share alike. And I want my daughter Josephine Ozment, to have one share. And lastly, I do nominate and appoint Levy B. White to be my executor of this my last Will and Testament. In testimony whereof, I the said Alfred Ozment, have to this my last Will and Testament, contained on two pages of papers subscribed my name and affixed my seal, this the 17th day of June in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and seventy-two.
