    3. Hello Eleanor and Everyone, I think this list, and the new web site are great! Over the years I've collected some things and I will post some to the list now. Some of you have some of this already. I'm in hopes that something here will give someone a piece of the puzzle, or at least, some new ideas or clues. I am not (don't believe so anyway) an OZMENT descendant, my primary research is on the PAVEY family, I believe that Rebecca "Becky" PAVEY (aka PEAVY) was quite possibly a daughter of my ancestor, John PAVEY. John PAVEY was on the 1790 Caroline Co, MD census. His wife, more than likely, was Mary ANDERSON. These ANDERSONs were connected to the Nicolites, and many migrated to Guilford Co, NC by 1800. SULLIVAN/SULLIVANE Many were also Nicolites who migrated from Caroline Co, MD area to Guilford Co, NC by 1800. Sullivan Nicolite Marriages: 1) Daniel Sullavane - Marget (Margaret) MELVIN, both of Dorchester, 1/28/1770 (Is said to have migrated to NC) 2) Owen Sullivan - Ester STANTON, both of Caroline, 12/26/1792 3) Owen Sullivan - Elizabeth FIDAMON, both of Caroline, 12/10/1800 Nicolite Births (all children of Daniel & Marget/Margaret SULAVANE/SULLIVAN): 1) Joseph, b: 1/13/1771 (may have been the father of Fletcher Sullivan...NC) 2) Owen, b: 3/4/1772 3) Daniel, b: 11/11/1773 4) Mary, b: 12/27/1775 5) Sarah, b: 1/7/1777 6) Margaret, b: 11/24/1779 7) Isaac, b: 10/29/1781 8) John, b: 12/24/1783 I have read where the original records of the Nicolites are housed in the MD. State Archives. Guilford Co, NC Will Abstracts, 1771 - 1841, by Webster NC 929 3756 6956W, pg. 59-60 1 Feb., 1805 - Probate Nov. 1809 Daniel SULLIVAN (SILLIVAN) Children: William, Mary Ann, Sarah SHEPARD, David, Edward, heirs of son Florance & Cabel one shilling sterling. Son: John - horse Daus: Nancy & Henney Sillevan, bed, etc. Son: Joel to inherit at his mother's decease or marriage. Wife: Margaret - land, etc. Exrs: Andrew WILLIAMS, Andrew RUSSEL Wit: Obed AYDLETEE, JOHN OZMENT, Winsore HOWREN. NC Land Entry & Warrants: Guilford Co. Surveyor Reports, by Donnell & Bailey, Part II, pg. 14 ... Entry #78, Fletcher SULIVAN, 48 acres, 23 of 5 month 1795. ********************************** Rebecca PEAVY (sic) md: Richard OZMENT in Guilford, Jan. 11, 1816. I believe someone once suggested that he MAY have been the Richard who was married to Rachel RASHFIELD and may have died within a year (will prob. May, 1817) of their marriage. Has this ever been proven/dis-proven? *********************************** Guilford Co, NC Will Abstracts - Unrecorded Wills, pg. 145 ... Noncupative Will, Jan. 13, 1817 (I have copy of original) MARGARET COOK Rebecca DAVEY* - teakettle, 6 pewter plates, coffee pot, 1 sheet DAVID STACK - large pot & dutch oven Isaac ANDERSON** - her bed Wit: RICHARD OZMENT as certified to James Millis, JP *Copy of original does show a "P" ... the 'loop' just comes down a little far. ** There is a chance I MAY have located which Isaac Anderson this was. However, it is way too soon to be absolute, but if I am correct, he was another Anderson whose family was connected to the Nicolites and he may have migrated a little later. >From what we are finding out, there were 2 different ANDERSON families in Guilford Co at the same time. One, previously mentioned, from the Eastern Shore, the other, Presbyterians, from VA. I also have the information on Will Abstracts of Richard Ozment (1809-1817) and Samuel Ozment (1819) and Real Estate Conveyances (Guilford Co) of Richard to Samuel Ozment (1808); Richard, Sr to Thomas Ozment (1808); Richard Ozment to Pleasant T. Campbell (1822) if anyone would care to have that information. Please let me know. Marsha McWilliams
