Hi everyone! I have been busy posting to various lists trying to get in touch with other Ozment researchers. Hopefully, some of them will join the list. I now have a question for you. I was given data that my Alfred OZMENT was the son of James H. OZMENT, Sr, b ca 1755 and a Martha ARDENT. Supposedly, Martha was an Indian. This is something I have never been able to verify. Does anyone have documentation of this. Along with this data, came the information that two other sons of James H OZMENT, Sr were William Anderson OZMENT and John Lafayette OZMENT. Supposedly this information came from a Bible record. Again, I have never seen this record. Has anyone on this list seen it? Could this John Lafayette OZMENT be the John OZMENT found in 1790 in Guilford Co, NC who later moved to Wilson Co, TN? I originally had Alfred as a son of this John but apparently that was wrong. Were Eli and Green B. (Greenberry) OZMENT the sons of this John? Who did this John marry? What happened to William Anderson OZMENT, b ca 1757? I know that the name Anderson is carried down several Ozment generations. But I have nothing on him other than a possible birthdate. My info before Alfred has so many gaps and holes. Everything came from other researchers and I have not been able to document anything. Can anyone help? I really want to put this descendancy on the Ozment webpage but would like to feel better about it before I do. Eleanor
