I noticed your name in association with your recent post to the MOORE surname board. I research the Moore & Carrigan surnames out of Maury & Marshall Counties in TN. In the effects of Ed and Nina (Moore) Carrigan was a photograph of a young man, with the following written on the back: "Allice M. OSMENT, Chattanooga, TN." "From Willie to Fannie. my sweetie." All of the writing is in pencil, but appears to have been written by 2 different people. The latter is written with a much tighter hand than that of the name. The photograph was taken at W.S. Mahon's, Public Square, Nashville, TN, and appears to have been made prior to 1900. Again, this may be a wild goose chase, as I didn't see any mention of recognizable Moore names in you other posts. If you have any info. on an Allice M. Osment, I would greatly appreciate your dropping me a line! Thanks for your attention! KC
