Hi folks, Was on the new MD Archives web site today and found the following for those of you with MD ancestors: 1. Thomas Ozment, appointed a Worcester County inspector on Feb 22, 1790. 2. Richard Ozment, appointed 2nd Lieutenant in the Army for the period 1778-1779 in a list of appointees from Cecil, Harford and Caroline Counties. 3. Thomas Ozment was appointed by the council as an inspector in 1791. 4. Thomas Ozment was appoint inspector at Kingstown by the Talbot County council on 23 Mar 1792. 5. Jonathon Ozment and a slave were assaulted and beaten by Woolman Warner apparently in 1792. On April 16, 1792, the council awarded 20 pounds currency of the day as settlement for the beatings. As you may know, the Ozments married into the Catrop family. Here are some additional notes: 1. On August 30, 1781, the Talbot County Council drafted to raise two battalions of militia to reinforce the American army until 10 Dec 1781. William Catrop was included. 2. on April 19, 1778, William Marsh Catrop was appointed a 2nd Lieutenant in the militia by the county council. Any help to anyone... any comment. Thanks, Frank Frank and Chris Courtney Moncks Corner, SC
