Hi all, Its 0730 here in SC the day after Floyd. I have already taken a panel off of the back slider so that we can go out directly to the deck. We really came out well, only a couple of loose shingles and no trees down although there is a lot of debris in the yard in terms of small branches, limbs, etc. No trees down, though. The weather this AM is overcast, no rain, temperature about 65 and the barometer rose to 29.53. Its over for us. I finally went to be last night a bit after midnight after I watched the barometer and made sure that it was steady and not continuing to fall. The animals stayed right next to us while we were awake; they knew something was up and the dogs stayed real close. Izzy the cat stayed in an easy chair in our bedroom the entire time. We have a 6X12 foot chain link kennel in the living room where we put the puppies after they were born (Too darn hot in SC to put them anywhere outside where there is no A/C). She slept on the floor next to the kennel for a while to keep the young pups happy and to get them to sleep, then she came to bed. I can't thank all of you enough for the wonderful emails. Not only did reading them give us something to do besides hearing about the storm, it also made us appreciate our family and net friends even more. thanks to all. Chris doesn't want me to pull the panels off the other windows, yet. We want to wait and see what Hurricane Gert does. Thanks again., Frank Frank and Chris Courtney Moncks Corner, SC
