At age of 24 married Miss Sarah Francis Battie for 29 years. Had 7 children, 5 to adulthood. In fall of 1859 moved to near Pryorsburg where he engaged in the milling business until 1869 or 70, when he moved to Mayfield. His wife died of consumption 8-13-1870. He soon moved back to Middle Tennessee, where he married on 7-2-1871 to Mrs. N J Webb. Remained in Tenn to 1877, where he moved with his younger children to Graves Co. He died at his son-in-law's Mr. J. M. Vest. 5 children, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Note to please print in the Shelbyville, Tennessee papers." Hi Elizabeth, Seems as if you are getting closer to proving that David Anderson Ozment, Celia Ozment Carter and the rest of the siblings were children of Richard Ozment and Rebecca Pavey (aka Peavy) who md. in Guilford on Jan. 11, 1816. More than likely she was the daughter of John & (Mary?) Anderson PAVEY (who are also my ancestors thru their son, Anderson Pavey.) Rebecca Pavey and an Isaac Anderson (along with David STACK ... I think he must fit in here somewhere) were named in the will of a Margaret COOK, 1817, Guilford Co. Possibly Margaret Cook was Rebecca and Anderson's sister??
