Posted on: OZMENT Wills Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/o/z/OZMENT/wills/7 Surname: OZMONT, SNEED ------------------------- WILL RACHEL OZMONT Talbot County, Maryland 21 Jan 1825 - 23 Feb 1830 JP#8 Page 422 In the name of God Almighty I Rachel Ozmont of Talbot County State of Maryland being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say First and principally I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God and mu body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executor herein after named and after my debts and funeral charges are paid I devise and bequeath as follows____ I give and bequeath to my daughter Susan Ann Ozmont one tenth part of a tract of land lying in Miles River Neck Talbot County called "Bennetts Neglect" to her the said Susan Ann Ozmont and the heirs of her body, in fee simple. I do hereby constitute and appoint John Sneed to be sole executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament. Talbot County, Ls} 23rd day of February 1830}Then came John Sneed, the Executor named in the within will and made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that the within Instrument of writing in the two, and whole will and Testament of Rachel Ozmont, late of the County aforesaid dec'd that hath come to his hands or possession; and that he doth not know of any other:____ Cert'd by Ja: Price, Reg'r of wills for Talbot County Talbot County, Ls} 23rd day of February 1830} Then came Elizabeth Ratcliff (formerly Elizabeth Robinson) one of the subscribing witnesses to the within last Will and Testament of Rachel Ozmont late of the County aforesaid deceased, and made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almightly God, that she did see the Testatrix therein named sign and seal this will, and that she heard her publish, pronounce and declare the same to be her last Will And Testament; that at the time of her so doing, she was, to the best of her apprehension of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding; and that she with Levi Stockes and William Cox, the other subscribing witnesses who are both now dead, respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to this will, in the presence, and at the request of the Testatrix, and in the presence of each other.
