Posted on: OZMENT Wills Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/o/z/OZMENT/wills/9 Surname: OZMON, OZMENT, HIGGINS ------------------------- WILL NANCY OZMON Talbot, County, Maryland 08 Jul 1840 - 04 Jan 1841 JP#9 Page 181 In the name of God amen, I, Nancy Ozmon, of Talbot County in the state of Maryland, being weak and feeble of body, but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, considering the certainty of death, and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and publish this my last will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say.------ First and principally, I commit my soul into the hands of Almightly god, and my body to the earth to be decently burried at the discretion of my Executors herein after named and after my debts and funeral charges are paid I devise and bequeath as follows: First, I give and bequeath unto my nephew John Ozmon, of Talbot County, The House and lot situated in the Town of Easton on dover street in Talbot County, where I now reside, and the lot immediately opposite of said dwelling, to have and to hold during his natural life: Second. I give and bequeath to the aforesaid John Ozmon my nephew all my personal Estate, consisting of Household and kitchen furniture, Hogs, cows, yearlings & to have and hold forever. Third - Upon the death of my nephew John Ozmon, herein before mentioned: I give and bequeath the dwelling House and the lot thereto attached, and the lot of ground immediately in from thereof and opposite thereto to the Methodist Episcopal Church, to be applied under the order and the supervision of the General Conference of said Church to the missionary fund of the church, and to be disposed of in any way so as to be made available by the Page 182 general conference to and for the purpose heretofore mentioned. Fourth After the entire settlement of my son Samuel Ozmon's Estate I give and bequeath all debts that may then be due me, to my nephew John Ozmon - And until the final settlement of the before mentioned Estate, all debts in any way due me are to be go and remain in the hands of Wm. W. Higgins, admr of Samuel Ozmon, dec'd and to be a part of the proceeds of said Estate, to be applied by the admr in the same way and for the same purpose as any debts due to the Estate of Sam'l Ozmon decd. Fifth and last, I hereby appoint Wm. W. Higgins and John Ozmon my nephew, my executors to see this my last will and testament faithfully executed revoking an annulling all former wills by me hertofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other, to be my last will and testament and In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this eight day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty.
