I have traveled around a little. A Hungarin man showed me the name Ozment in a Hungarin encyclopedis and it said that the Ozment was a Turkish sect where the women wore vails over their faces. I have also come accross a japenese name of Ozmen which is very close to Ozment. My uncle insists we are of Scottish decent but I'm not sure of how this conclusion is arrived at. I know in Arkansas there is a place called Ozment Bluffs and that we (early Ozments) have been in the U.S.A. since the mid 1700's possibly earlier. I'm sure that we fought on both sides of the civil war. If anyone has any more information on the name Ozment I would appreciate an e-mail
