    3. Good Morning Everyone, I just received this information from an Anderson "Cousin" (the Andersons married into my PAVEYs, just like the OZMENTs did, NC, early 1800's.) We keep an eye out for each other's surnames. Don't know if you all had this information or not, but it's best to be safe than sorry <g>. Marsha in snowy Effingham. Hi Marsha: I do not know if you are still interested in Ozments but I am sending you some information on them. I was looking at maps from the Cannon Co., TN homepage of the USGENWEB and I ran across four Osment listings i.e. Osment Chapel, Osment Cemetery, Osment Chapel (Historical), and Ozments Mill (Historical). All of these listings are in the Short Mountain Area. Go to the Cannon Co., TN Homepage on the USGENWEB ; go to "Names & Maps of Hundreds of Cannon Co, Things" and click; go to Ozment listings. I also found Osment Chapel in one of my reference books which says:"Osment Chapel Methodist Church was located two miles south of the Gap of the Mountain, on the Highland Rim. it was organized in 1874. Its first building was log. William Milton Osment donated land and the logs. This building was used until 1905, when it was condemned. A new building was erected about 1920-1923, but was burned sometime in the 1940s." I hope this helps to pin this family down a little. Regards, Brian
