Film No.: 0989342: J M Ozment To Trust Deed, Registered October 18, 1867 George Naylor I J. M. Ozment have this day sold to George Naylor for the consideration hereafter maintained 1 bale of cotton at Rush's gin, and the balance of any crop of cotton grown on the farm of Samuel Ozment decd. Said cotton to be delivered at the gin of Wm Rush, the consideration of the foregoing sale is such that whereas I am indebted to Mr. Wm Rush, one hundred dollars, due 13th of February last, and one note for one hundred and thirty dollars due the 18th day of March next, and said Rush is also security for me for one hundred dollars in favor of the estate of T. P. Scurlock, decd given about the 17th of August last, and due ninety days after date. Now if I should will and truly pay the aforesaid debts and interest by the 1st day of March next, then this obligation to be void, but if I fail to do so, then the said George Naylor shall after giving 10 days notice expose the cotton to the highest bidder for cash, and appropriate the proceeds, first, to the payment of all necessary costs, and secondly to the payment of said debts, and lastly if any left, pay over to me. Should I fail to have said cotton picked and delivered at the gin, said Naylor is authorized to have the same done, and pay for it out of the proceeds of sale. Harris Clerk of the County Court of said County J M Ozment the bargainer to the within trust with whom I am personally acquainted and acknowledged the due execution of the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained and to have been done on the day of its date, I further certify that the said trust deed is stamped with 50 cents revenue stamps and the said stamps cancelled as the law requires.
