Film No.: 0989338 Filed at 3 o'clock Nov. 10th 1853 Samuel Ozment to) Deed 200 A Alexander McCarley This indenture made this the 24 day of Oct 1853 between Samuel Ozment of the one part and Alex McCearley of the other part; both of the State of Tennessee and County of Hardeman. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by the said Alex McCearley, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained sold and conveyed & confirmed unto the said Alexander McCearley his heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the County of Hardeman and on the waters of Clover Creek, a branch of Hatchie River and containing by survey 200 acres granted by the State of Tennessee to me the said Samuel Ozment on the 1st of December 1852 in Range 1 and 2 & Sec 6, Dist. 10. Beginning at a white oak and pointers 154 poles West of the South West corner of No. 411 for 1000 A. made in the name of A. Jones & now West with the same 123 poles to a stake with P.O. and redoak pointer the NE C of Entry No. 1515 for 139 A. Thence South passing the same at 246 in all 260 poles to a stake with white oak and span oak & P. oak pointers. Thence East 123 poles to a dogwood with span oak R oak and W oak pointers. Thence So 7 poles to a W. O. with spanish oak & hickory pointers. Thence East 21 poles to a stake in the stage road with 3 blk jack pointers. Thence N. 18 1/2 E 30 poles. Thence N. 20 poles. Thence No. 34 1/2 W 8 poles to a stake W. oak & hickory pointers. Thence West 58 poles to a stake blk oak & W. oak pointers. Thence N. 52 poles to a black oak bush, with 2 post oak & 2 black oak pointers. Thence East 28 poles to a stake with 3 black oak pointers. Thence N. 163 poles to the Beginning to have & to hold the aforesaid lands with all & singular the rights profits emoluments, hereditaments and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use, benefit & behoof of him the said Alex McCearley, his heirs and assigns forever & the said Samuel Ozment for himself, his heirs, executors or administrators does hereunto covenant and agree to and with the said McCearley, his heirs and assigns that the before recited tract of land and bargained premises be & they will warrant and forever defend the right to the & relinquish claim of the said land to the said Alexander his heirs and assigns forever against the right title or claim of all & every person or persons whatever claim in the same or any part thereof.
