Ozment Whereas by descent from Samuel Ozment, Daniel Jasper Ozment, Johnathan Madison Ozment, Newton McDonald Ozment, Sarah Caroline Holloway, heirs, Alexander McCearly, and wife Elizabeth, Rachel King Emily Alvey have derived title to and now hold equal and undivided interest in the following tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the 16th Civil District, Hardeman County and State of Tennessee on the waters of Piney Creek Range one, and Section five, and bounded as follows, to Wit, Beginning at a hickory S. W. corner of Entry No. 251 for 200 acres in the name of James P. Holloway, and runs East 53 1/2 poles to a hickory, Thence south 42 poles to a stake, ash, white oak & birch pointers, Thence west 66 poles to a stake sugar tree and spanish oak pointers, Thence south 9 poles to a sugar tree, Thence west 108 poles to a stake, Thence south 57 poles to a stake, hickory and ash pointers, Thence west 88 poles to a maple, hickory and dogwood pointers, at the branch, a north course to a hickory, gum & white oak pointers, a divisional line between King & McGee, Thence east 250 1/2 poles to a stake, Thence south 28 poles to a stake, post & 2 red oak pointers, Thence east 16 poles to a stake, red oak & 2 black oak pointers, Thence south 138 poles to the beginning. Now I have bargained and sold, and do hereby convey all my rights title and interest in said lands to Daniel Jasper Ozment for the sum of two hundred dollars to me paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged to have and to hold the same to the said d J Ozment his heirs and assigns forever, I do covenant and bind myself my heirs, representatives to warrant and defend forever the title to said lands against the lawful claims of all persons whatever. Crawford deputy clerk of the County Court of said County John A. Danto & N. M. Ozment subscribing witness to the foregoing & annexed deed who after being duly sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with N M Ozment the bargainer and heard him acknowledge the due execution of the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained, and to have been done on the day of its date. I further certify that the said deed is stamped with 50 cents revenue stamps and the said stamps cancelled as the law requires.
