I wanted to add more information on the siblings of my g grandmother, Bessie May Ozment. Her parents were said to be John S. Ozment and Mary Ella Sawyer or Collier. I cannot document this and have lost contact with the cousin doing the research. Bessie's siblings: Albert Fletcher, Grace, Nell, Willie (William), Daisy, Annie Laura and Walter S. Some cousins were said to live in NC, others in VA. Would love to contact family to share info. Other known surnames of spouses Moynihan, Cunningham and Reese.

Hello Everyone, A while back I remember reading something about a possible MERRETT relationship with the OZMENTs. I'm sure I saved the message, but cannot locate it now. There were a variety of spellings on this surname. The original may have been MARRIOTT and lately I have been doing some research on this family since they are connected to who I believe is my ANDERSON line. This is probably Rebecca PAVEY/PEAVY who md. a Richard Ozment in Guilford Co, NC, 1816, mother's line. I just received the information that Mark (wife: Sarah FISHER) MERRETT who died in Kent Co, DE in 1746 had a daughter, Elizabeth LeCOMPTE. It may be that Mark & Sarah were separated/divorced and this is where some confusion may come in. No mention of any Merrett-Ozment connection yet, but I will be keeping an eye open for it.
