Our self-imposed limits are something like this: If a will from outside Oxon mentions people or even property or places in Oxon, that's OK. If a testator or his ancestors can be shown to have moved out of Oxon within one (or at a pinch two) generations, that's OK The same applies if his descendants move into Oxon later. Of course, if you happen to know how he came to have property in Shutford, that'd be even better :-) I'll leave it to you to decide whether the connection is strong enough. Regards . . . Dave
