On Saturday Sept 8, Bucks Genealogical Society presents DISCOVERY DISCOVERY Getting to grips with the new 'improved' system fro access to the National Archives' various documents on line. There were three different but perfectly comprehnsible systems for access, but no, someone had to change things. There is a mass of informnation to be had, but the system is not dead simple. Simon Fowler, who for many years worked fror the PRO/National Archives and is now a freelance journalist, author of a number of useful books and also a tutor for the on-line site PHAROS, will be talking at 3pm, illustrated with powerpoint. Venue is the SOUTHCOURT COMMUNITY CENTRE, PREBENDAL AVE, AYLESBURY - parallel to the Oxford Rd, A418, just on the west side of town centre, . From East, turn off left at main traffic lights into Churchill Ave, then left again and you are shortly there. Ample parking. From the west, you need to go past the traffic lights and double back at the mini-roundabout.
