Mike in Droitwich my family tree http://mjfisher.tribalpages.comHi All I have just come across the report of an inquest in JOJ 29 Jun 1867 held in Enstone into the death of Charlotte Ann Taplin died 20 Jun 1867 age three months daughter of William Taplin labourer. I have Taplin family from Enstone but can't fit this child into any family with a William as a parent. There is a birth and death registered in Chipping Norton Q2 1867. Re Taplins of Enstone. Rose WEARING, a sister of my paternal grandfather, married Arthur Percy TAPLIN. (I do not know the date or place). Rose was baptised at Enstone 9 April 1882 and was buried at Enstone 24 December 1961. Arthur was born at Enstone about 1885 and was buried at Enstone 25 November 1952. Rose and Arthur had two children (that I know of), Raymond Percy TAPLIN, born 1909, and Cyril Frederick TAPLIN, born 1911. Arthur's parents were Frederick Michael TAPLIN (born Enstone about 1859) and Mary Ann (surname unknown, who was born about 1862 in Baston Oxfordshire). That's all I know about my TAPLIN connection.
