    3. Hi The image of the marriage register entry is available on Ancestry Her name is indexed as Sicell and as she made her mark I think her name may have been Ce(with an accent)cile or Cicelle. 3. Hi Mike Well spotted I thought I had checked all the variants but missed that I also found her Baptism as Name: Sivwell Harvey Baptism Date: 16 Oct 1796 Parish: St James, Clerkenwell County: Middlesex Borough: Islington Parent(s): John Harvey, Mary Harvey Record Type: Baptism (image also on Ancestry) And it does look like Sivwell but its very faint on the page I would disagree about the name being Cicelle though, I think its Sivell Perhaps a variant of Sybil but whilst Sivell is not exactly common there are a few around , it could also be a surname perhaps and used as a forename, there are some males with Sivell as a middle name Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Hi > > The image of the marriage register entry is available on Ancestry > Her name is indexed as Sicell and as she made her mark I think her name > may have been Ce(with an accent)cile or Cicelle. > > Mike in Droitwich

    3. Like Nivard, I'd go with Sivell. William ROBERTS was baptised at St Pancras 16 June 1822 to James ROBERTS (sawyer) and Sivvell (or Sivvill), of Tottenham Place. Another William ROBERTS was baptised at Christ Church, Albany Street, on 5 June 1839 to James ROBERTS (sawyer) and Sivell (or Sivill), of 7 Upper Fitzroy Place. The 1841 census, also in Upper Fitzroy Place, St Pancras, shows her as Sivell ROBERTS. As SIVELL is a recognised surname, perhaps its use as a first name derives from that?
