Hello Maureen. I've looked through the Burford PRs and there is only one Empson baptised there between 1849 and 1859. For some reason Burford & Fulbrook baptisms stop at 1858, at least they do on my fiche -- there may be a later version now. There's only one 1850-58, But there were two earlier (which you may already have). 12 Jun 1844 Jos s Thomas & Charlotte carpenter Fulbrook 12 Jun 1844 Jane d Thomas & Charlotte carpenter Fulbrook It doesn't SAY they were twins, so maybe T&C weren't too good about getting the kids baptised :-) Then 1 Jan 1854 Dick s Thomas & Charlotte carpenter Burford. So where were they in the interim? They'd moved from Fulbrook into Burford, so perhaps they went somewhere else in between. DaveB
