    2. >From Jackson's Oxford Journal, Saturday, August 5, 1893; Issue 7323. THE WILL OF THE LATE MR. JOHN FIELDEN . - The gross value has been sworn at 482,016 Pounds, and the net value at 475,875 Pounds, of the personal estate of Mr. John FIELDEN , late of Dobroyd Castle, Todmorden, Lancashire, and Grimston Park, Yorkshire, the last surviving member of the original firm of FIELDEN Brothers, cotton merchants, Todmorden, Manchester, Liverpool, and New York, who died on June 4th, 1890, aged 71 years. The will was dated June 6th, 1890, and the executors are his nephews, Thomas FIELDEN, late M.P. for the Middleton Division of Lancashire, and Edward Brocklehurst FIELDEN, of Old Headington, near Oxford, sons of the testator's late brother Joshua. Among other bequests he devises to his nephew, Edward Brocklehurst FIELDEN , the Dobroyd Castle Estate, subject to Mrs. FIELDEN's life interest therein, and 20,000 Pounds and seven-twelfths of the residue of his property he leaves to Mr. E. B. FIELDEN and his three brothers.
