my initial thoughts are that it looks like an 'estate' house ie one built for the workers on a large property - as such is likely to be two semi- detached house not one. Looks similar to some of the properties on many of these estates. Where any of the family employed as land workers/gardeners maybe? Could be Gloucestershire but could be Somerset or any of the counties where they built in stone. Hi I agree with Wendy as I live in such a property in the grounds of Westwood House, a red brick Tudor mansion. Ours is a similar style of property but out of brick with the stone round the windows etc. Ours were built in the very early 1900's as farm workers cottages and a laundry when the change of use was made from deer park for pleasure to multi use farm for income.
