    3. Many thanks Hilary, yes that is correct, that is why I thought of Burford or Bampton. Wendy has to have the prize though. I didn't think of looking in Colin's book, when I should have as it is so comprehensive in its covering. That has sorted that one, as sometimes the family are in Hinton and sometimes Longworth. Very many thanks for the help given, Jill -----Original Message----- From: oxfordshire-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:oxfordshire-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Wendy Archer Sent: 23 July 2011 22:21 To: oxfordshire@rootsweb.com; berkshire@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [OXF] Where is Wales in North Berkshire or Oxfordshire? Colin Harris's "Oxfordshire Parish Registers & Bishops Transcripts" references Wales to Hinton Waldrist. The introduction to the OFHS Hinton Waldrist parish register transcript on CD FAR03 gives: "It included the hamlets of Duxford, Wales and Burgage, of which only Duxford now remains."
