    2. >From Jackson's Oxford Journal, Saturday, January 6, 1866; Issue 5880. ABINGDON. BOROUGH MAGISTRATES CHAMBER, DEC. 20. Before J. HYDE , Esq. ( Mayor ), and C. and E. PAYNE , Esqrs. William FRANKLIN was committed for one month's hard labour for neglecting to maintain his family. Jan. 2. - Before the Mayor; and E. PAYNE , Esq. Charles KING ,of the Coachmakers' Arms, was fined 10 shillings, including costs, for keeping open his house after eleven o'clock on Sunday night, the 24th of December. TRANSFER OF LICENSES. - The Mitre to William STEVENS , the Vine to Richard HORSEMAN. License granted to widow BREWERTON , the Crown.
