Looking at the Heritage Search Site, I see that ORO holds a Marriage Licence for John HAZELL and Hannah HICKMAN, both of Standlake, dated 27 March 1823. However, the Oxon. Marriage Index records this marriage as having taken place at Standlake on 3 March 1823. The OFHS transcript of Standlake PRs contains an entry on 30 March 1823 for a Thomas MOSS and Charlotte FLOREY, followed by the entry for Hazell/Hickman with a date that could be a 3 or possibly an 8, with no month mentioned. The marriage following this, took place in January 1824. The Oxon. Marriage Index must be wrong. It looks as if the marriage may have taken place in April, but can anyone confirm this, both day and month? Kind regards Keith
