On Monday, 6 June, there will be a talk by Alan Simpson to the Oxfordshire Family History Society on "Tracing your tree - Live! - An interactive session using internet resources", at the Exeter Hall, Oxford Road, Kidlington, Oxford OX5 1AB. All are welcome! The talk starts at 7:30pm, and doors open at 7:15pm. Alan is the person who carries out requests for searches in the OFHS databases through the OFHS Search Services http://searches.oxfordshirefhs.org.uk/ and he is the "author" of the Oxfordshire interactive parish register coverage map at http://searches.oxfordshirefhs.org.uk/pardata.html . Furthermore he is the OFHS Monumental Inscriptions (MIs) coordinator, and spends his summers leading teams transcribing and photographing gravestones and other MIs across Oxfordshire (and his winters processing the teams' findings.) Members of OFHS unable to get to the meeting will be able to read a summary in a forthcoming issue of the Oxfordshire Family Historian. Wendy Chairman, Oxfordshire FHS www.ofhs.org.uk
