The age given at death means he would have been born around 1748 but I don't know where. The first mention I have of him is his marriage to Mary BRADLEY in the Broughton registers which stated he was living in North Newington I have found a file of GIBBS in Oxfordshire in one of the lists I'm on and it gives a list of GIBBS much earlier than that 1500's....containing details of those who lived in Newington.... does anyone know if that would be the same as mine who were said to be from North Newington... did it change it's name?
