>From Jackson's Oxford Journal, Saturday, July 4, 1840; Issue 4549. On Wednesday last an Inquest was held before G. CECIL , Esq., coroner, at the sign of the Holly Bush, St. Thomas's, on view of the body of George CLARKE , aged 16, who died suddenly the same day. After a long and patient investigation ( the details of which our limits will not permit us to give ), the Jury returned their verdict, " died from inflammatory fever, produced by excessive excitement. " On Friday another inquest was held before Geo. CECIL , Esq., at Headington, on view of the body of George SNOW , aged eight years, who was killed at Headington Quarry by a large piece of clay falling upon him whilst he was at work. Verdict, " accidental death."
