    3. Hi all I have hit a brick wall with the birth of James Dunsdon who is recorded in the Steventon Parish register thus - Marriage 1805 31 Oct DUNSDON James to BAVIS Ann Burial 1843 26 Jun DUNSDON James aged 61 This would make James birth about 1782. I have discovered a close match with a James Dunsdon b 1789 at Didcot, as he was buried at Didcot in 1848 this cannot be him. Any help in discovering James birthplace would be much appreciated. Richard

    3. Hi List, I am new to this List but have frequented many others in the many years I have been researching. I am trying to locate a possible obit for a Peter Scott GOFFEY, Peter was born about 1921 and died back in May 1994 in Oxford. Peter was in the RAF and made the rank of Squadron Leader, and retired in 1975. His medal list at the moment is a General Service Medal with a Malaya bar, earned some time in the late 1940s, and also a GSM or Campaign Service Medal with a Southern Arabia bar earned some time in the late 1950s or early 1960s. He was also mentioned in despatches during WW2. I am hoping also if someone would know of his other medal entitlements if any. Regards, Michael McAllister

Technically Kings Sutton belonged to the Banbury Peculiar, and most of its church-type procedures, including probates, were handled from there. People would nip over to Banbury to be christened, married or buried. So Fem's JEROMEs might appear in historical Oxon :-) DaveB
